  DPS Ranchi :: Project Model ExhibitionRanchi, Jharkhand | December | Friday | 04, 2015 :: A series of splendid exhibits covering various important subjects were displayed in the Project Model Exhibition held in the school premises on 04-12-2015. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Smt. Aradhana Pattaniak, Secretary HRD, Govt. of Jharkhand. Rajiv Rai, DIG, CRPF was also present as the Guest of Honour.

The uniqueness of this exhibition lies in the fact that it has covered so many subjects like Science, Maths, English., Hindi, Sanskrit, Social Science, Business Studies, Computer Science, Informatics Practices, Accountancy, Physical Education, Economics and Art and Craft. Around 600 models were put up. The icing on the cake was ofcourse the display of class magazine of each and every section. This concept of giving an opportunity to the students to exhibit their creative acumen section-wise was the brain child of the Principal Dr. Ram Singh who is an exemplary role model for his students and is always futuristic in his approach.

The prime objective of this exhibition was to provide ample scope to each and every student to keep their curiosity alive and to ensure 3600 development of all the students. It was a spectacular show with children showcasing their innovative ideas to present their models on several topics like model of Smart City, “Beti bachao betiparhao”, Somnath temple, Red fort etc. Children of class XI presented a beautiful model to show how topics like Probability in mathematics can be taught through games and hence make learning interesting. Another major attraction of this exhibition was the usage of JAVA programming to make railway reservation simpler and easier. The model Drone which shows how rescue operations can be done effectively earned a lot of appreciation. Pascal’s Law, Reflection of light were the other concepts which brought out the scientific acumen of the students. In English the models based on Discovering Tut and Canterville Ghost was some of the major attractions.

The Chief Guest while interacting with the DPS media team said that she was reminded of her childhood days when we use to run away from studies to play but this exhibition shows that how learning can be fun filled and entertaining. The Guest of honour  Rajiv Rai said that this exhibition portrays that our expectations from DPS Ranchi has rightly been fulfilled. Dr. Ram Singh, Principal, DPS Ranchi while taking a round not only praised the excellent work of the children but also said that this practical knowledge will certainly help them in future. The exhibition was a riot of colours depicting enthusiasm and effervescence amongst students teachers, students and parents as well – one never knows who among these young scientists would turn out to be Newton or Einstein of tomorrow.
