Dr. Aabha Chaudhary (Anugraha NGO) honored with Women of Excellence Award 2019 at USA

Dr. Aabha Chaudhary, Founder Chairperson of Anugraha NGO, Delhi was honored by Congressman Danny K. Davis on 7th Annual International Women’s Day Celebration 2019 in which top 20 women were selected worldwide. Award Ceremony was conducted at Waterford Convention Center, 933 S. Riverside Drive, Elmhurst, IL 60126, USA.
Dr. Aabha Chaudhary is an alumni of United Nations International institute on Ageing, Malta & done PhD on rural elderly women. She is an international expert in gerontology & gender issues and she has also worked as an expert with UN agencies. Dr. Aabha lectured in USA, Europe, Canada, Mauritius, Indonesia, Asia Pacific. In 1997, she was awarded fellowship by Rotary International foundation to visit California, USA. For last two decades, she has worked extensively across India for old age care, poverty reduction, rural health care, legal aid & counselling, Corporate social responsibility and skill development of marginalized women. She is also a member of State Council for Older Persons, Govt. of Delhi, visiting faculty in Tokyo University, expert member in National Human Rights Commission & various Ministries in State & National Government. To ensure easy health access to needy women, She launched mobile medicare units and conducted over 5000 Cataract operations in rural areas. Established a chain of multi-purpose Holistic Day Care Centers serving hundreds of aged, destitute women & widows for self-sustaining activities. She has also provided Counselling, Training & Employment Support Services for approx. 2000 low income, disadvantaged and needy women. For her remarkable efforts she has been awarded with National Gold Karmaveer Chakra award in India.
