Ranchi, Jharkhand | June | 22, 2021 :: Eight students of Dumka-based Phulo Jhano Murmu College of Dairy Technology, a constituent unit of Birsa Agricultural University have got campus placement.
The students selected by Jharkhand Milk Federation (Medha) belong to the session 2017-21 of B Tech (Dairy Technology) course and will be placed as trainee executive at Ranchi, Deoghar, Latehar and newly established dairy plants of Medha.
List of selected students includes Sanjana Kumari, Angel Ekka, Barkha Kumari, Kajal Kumari Faizal, Aniruddha Roy, Vishal Kumar Singh and Prakash Kumar (4 girls and 4 boys).
Dr Munmun Sen, placement incharge and academic head of the college informed that the college was playing important role in students’ placement despite handicaps related to the covid-19.
Exercise was on for placement of remaining students of the session 2017-21, she added. Major credit for the success goes to the ICAR course being followed by the institution and hard labour of teachers-students.
Associate Dean of the College Dr Sanjay Kumar and JMF officials Pawan Kr Marwaha, Milan Mitra, Jaydeo Biswas and TK Patra were involved in the placement process.
Associate Dean informed that plan was afoot for establishing a state of the art laboratory and experiential dairy unit for better practical exposure and skill development of dairy technology students.
