Sohna, Gurgaon | August | Thursday | 06, 2015 :: Today was the fourth and last day of the Faculty Development Program, 2015 of Apeejay Stya University. Keeping in mind the physical and spiritual benefits of Yoga Cdr. C.P. Sharma opened the day with a session on Yoga. It was ensured that no faculty member were deprived from the motivating and therapeutic effects of the session. Cdr. Sharma suggested asanas to counter various lifestyle ailments. The Yoga session was followed by an interactive and equally engaging session by Niloy Sen. He shed light on the subtle aspects of Design and its impact on the target audience. The talk was highlighting with his creations for the media.
The subsequent session was conducted by Deepak Bhalla and Manpreet Sehgal. They explained the working of Moodle both through presentations and workshop.
It was just after this session that the faculty members got a chance to showcase their singing and mimicking talents.
After this Hon’ble VC updated the faculty member regarding his plans for forming mentoring teams in the interest of students of ASU. He also introduced the guests of honor Dr. S.K. Salwan and Prof. P. Rameshan, founding director, IIM Rohtak. Dr. Salwan delivered an inspiring talk on the contribution of teachers and students in the teaching learning process. He also demonstrated effective ways to manage the sudden boom of knowledge in this era of globalization. He was succeeded by Prof. Rameshan who shed light on the nobility of the teaching profession. He also advised teachers to understand the psychology of the students and adopt a rational behaviour towards them.
The day concluded with a vote of thanks from Hon’ble VC Dr. Pankaj Gupta.
