Five students from Marwari College selected in the Advanced Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Workshop organized at IIT, Kharagpur.

A five-day workshop was organized by Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises ( MSME ) India at
Indian Institute of Technology ( IIT )Kharagpur from 12th to 16th of February 2024.
Workshop was based on the advanced Entrepreneurship and skill development, which aimed primarily at creating wealth from waste.
MSME had directed to select only 20 students for this workshop. In this regard, Aranika Chandra from the Botany department, Isha Sharma, Deepti Bharti, Harsh Kumar, and Tushar Sinha from Biotechnology were selected.

Dr. Rajiv Chandra, Head of the Botany Department and Co-coordinator of Biotechnology at Marwari College, was invited to this workshop as the resource person. Dr. Rajiv Chandra delivered lectures on “Waste to Wealth Conversion,” where he informed, how we can convert waste into biofuels, thus reducing India’s oil imports.
Dr. Rajiv provided detailed information about solutions for the plastic and micro plastic management. He mentioned that such opportunities generate interest among students in higher education and research.
Participating students from the event expressed that the workshop has completely transformed their perception, education, and research outlook.

Dr. Rajiv, along with his assistant Mr. Anubhav Chakravarti, the Placement Cell Coordinator, ensured a successful and memorable journey for the students. Principal Dr. Manoj Kumar of Marwari College stated that we are committed to provide our students with the best platforms for education and research.
