Ranchi, Jharkhand | July | Tuesday | 28, 2015 :: A condolence meeting was organised at Oxford Public School to condole the sad demise of the Missile Man, beloved ex President of India, Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam who left for heavenly abode yesterday while delivering lecture at IIM, Shillong. In the morning assembly first of all K.R. Jha, Sr. PGT (Eng) & House Co-ordinator threw light on the charismatic personality and achievements of Dr. Kalam. Afterwards Dr. S.B.P. Mehta, the Director of the school, Deepak Sinha, the Academic Co-ordinator, P. Hazra & A.K. Singh, the Vice Principals, a number of teachers, the Head Boy, Ravi Kumar and the Head Girl, Sadi Radhika paid floral tributes to the portrait of the ex President. This was followed by the silence of two minutes in which all the staff and students observed silence and prayed for the peace of the departed soul.
