19 August 2013 :: William Jefferson “Bill” Clinton (born William Jefferson Blythe III) was born William Jefferson Blythe III on 19 th of August 1946, at Julia Chester Hospital in Hope, Arkansas. He  is an American politician who served as the 42nd President of the United States from 1993 to 2001. Inaugurated at age 46, he was the third-youngest president. He took office at the end of the Cold War, and was the first president from the baby boomer generation. Clinton has been described as a New Democrat. Many of his policies have been attributed to a centrist Third Way philosophy of governance. Before becoming president he was the Governor of Arkansas, serving two non-consecutive terms from 1979 to 1981 and from 1983 to 1992. He was also the state’s Attorney General from 1977 to 1979.

His father, William Jefferson Blythe, Jr., was a traveling salesman who died in an automobile accident three months before Bill was born. His mother, Virginia Dell Cassidy (1923–1994), traveled to New Orleans to study nursing soon after he was born. She left Bill in Hope with grandparents Eldridge and Edith Cassidy, who owned and ran a small grocery store.
