Ranchi, 23 August 2012 :: Eastern India Lions Leaders Conclave was inaugurated at Hotel Chankya BNR, Ranchi by Ln. A.P.Singh, International Vice President(Endorse) & Ln. Sangita Jatia, International Director. Lions Clubs International District 322A is hosting Eastern India Lion Leaders conclave the 1st Council Meeting of Lions Multiple District 322 on 23rd and 24th August, 2012. Ln. Rajiw Lochan, District Governor, 322A welcomed the Lion Leaders of Eastern India from North Eastern States, Bhutan, Assam, Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand representing nine Lions District are participating this high level meeting.
Lions leaders of Eastern India attending this meeting to draw actions plan for the growth of Lionism in these areas with special thrust to unrepresented area so that community can benefit of various service projects under Project in Partnership through Inter Clubs Twining with the support of Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF), Corporate Social Responsibility and Government social welfare projects.
This year thrust given to serve the community in better way with more new young members where as stress will be on Women membership, Reading action program (RAP)/ Literacy in addition to Global Action Service campaigns and other projects specially in Jharkhand & North East States.
During the meeting deliberation made on Lions Clubs International (LCI) Program for 2012-13, Review of Membership Position of MD322, Activities of Women Task Force, PR initiatives planned by Sub districts, discussion on “The Lion” magazine, Lions International Peace Poster Contest & Essay Competition for visually impaired children on Imagine the Peace.
