Jaspal Bhatti dies in Road accident.25 October 2012 :: Film actor and comedian Jaspal Bhatti died in a road accident near Jalandhar early on Friday.

The car in which the 57-year-old actor, director was travelling hit a roadside tree near Shahkot in Nakodar area of the district around 1 am. Bhatti was going to Jalandhar from Bhatinda for the promotion of his Punjabi film Power Cut scheduled to be released on Friday.

He was an Indian television personality famous for his satirical take on the problems of the common man. He is most well known for his television series, Flop Show and mini capsules Ulta Pulta which ran on Doordarshan, India’s national television network, in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Jaspal Bhatti was born on 3 March 1955 at Amritsar. He leaves behind his wife Savita, a son and a daughter.
