Ranchi, Jharkhand 26 February 2015 :: Jyoti Kumari, an undergraduate student at the Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi won Gold medal in Wushu championship in the recently concluded 35th National Games held in Kerala. Ms. Jyoti, representing Jharkhand, out classed Ms. AnkitaKumari of Madhya Pradesh to pocket gold in women’s Taolu event. Ms. Jyoti is pursuing her Five Year Integrated Master’s programme in Environmental science at CUJ. Prof. A.N. Misra, Vice Chancellor (Acting), felicitated Miss Jyoti on her inspiring achievement and stated that her success would encourage CUJians to excel in every sphere of life, be it academics, sports or art. Prof. S.K. Tewari, Rajesh Kumar, Shivendra Dubey and Ratnesh Kumar ( Wushu Coach, CUJ ) were also present during the felicitation.
Jyoti Kumari participated in 3 Junior World Championship ( Singapore, Macau , Shangha with good score) and won Bronze medal in Asian Junior Wushu Championship
