Two BTech (Mining) final year students , Mr Anjit Kumar Singh and Mr Mohammed Adil Raza of ICFAI University, Jharkhand presented a research paper at Mining Youth Conclave, organized by Indian Mining and Engineering Journal at New Delhi on 16th October 2022 .
The research paper on “Sustainable Mining towards Atma Nirbhar Bharat ” , prepared by the students , under the guidance of Prof Badal Suman, Assistant Professor of the University was accepted for presentation at the conference, which was organized with support from Ministry of Coal, Government of India. The conference covered a number of themes on Sustainable Mining, which include Mine Planning, Safety, Digital Mining, Robotics , Blast-free mining, Energy Conservation in Mining etc.
Congratulating the students, Prof O R S Rao, Vice-Chancellor of the ICFAI University, Jharkhand said, “We are proud of the achievement by our B Tech students, who worked hard to publish the research paper on the contemporary topic. Our faculty members, who are highly qualified and come with a lot of industry experience guide and encourage our students to produce high quality research papers.” “All of our Mining Students of BTech and Diploma in technology, are equipped with latest technological developments and also hands-on skills by way of internships in Mines so that they are industry-ready by the time, they graduate from our University”, added Prof Rao.
Expressing happiness with the achievement of the students, Prof Arvind Kumar, Registrar of the University said, “We are happy that due to the dedicated efforts by the University, our Mining students are able to get selected for jobs in PSU Mining Companies like CCL, ECL. We are proud that some of our students got selected in GATE examination”.
