25 February 2013 :: Ang Lee’s Life of Pi, about a shipwrecked Indian boy, registered early wins at the 85th Academy awards by taking home the trophies for the best cinematography and visual effects.
Life of Pi is a 2012 American action adventure drama film based on the 2001 novel of the same name by Yann Martel. The film is directed by Ang Lee, based on an adapted screenplay by David Magee, and stars Irrfan Khan, Gérard Depardieu, Tabu, Suraj Sharma, and Adil Hussain. Visual effects is by Rhythm & Hues Studios.
