PCLM pays tribute to Tribal leader Ramdayal Munda

Poor Christian Liberation Movement (PCLM) mourns the death of Ramdayal Munda, Rajya Sabha member and educationist, in Ranchi.
The 72-year old Munda is survived by wife and one son. He was battling against cancer for the last several months. An expert on the tribal issues, Munda was internationally acclaimed for his research work on the Indian tribals.
Munda was completely dedicated for the development of the tribals. He has continuously worked for the promotion of tribal culture and music. He was a member in the Bhuria Committee which recommended the Panchayati Extension to Schedule Areas popularly known as PESA. He was also a member of the National Advisory Council headed by AICC President Sonia Gandhi.
The death of Munda is a personal loss to the tribal community. His death has created a vaccum which is difficult to fill.
PCLM has lost a well wisher and a good friend with the death of Munda. We pray God for his soul to rest in peace and wish his family to overcome this crisis situation.
