“Singham Returns” Crosses 50 Cr Mark In two Days from its release.

17 August 2014 :: Ajay Devgn starer Singham Returns was strong on Saturday the second day of its release . The first day managed to shatter records and the film held forth on the second day of box office . Singham Returns after having a massive start on the opening day, maintained a good pace on its second day too. As per early estimates, Singham Returns collected in the range of 20-21 crores (approx) on the first Saturday, taking its Domestic total so far to 52-53 crores at the domestic box office.

 The Ajay Devgn starer has displaced Chennai Express, Ek Tha Tiger and Kick for the opening day collections and was just a little shy of breaking Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 collections.

 Ajay Devgn’s Singham Returns had one of the highest opening days of all time . It has now beat the records of first day business of Shahrukh Khan’s Chennai Express and Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger and Kick.

The film is a sequel to the 2011 film Singham, which starred Ajay Devgn in the titular role, and did very well at the box office raking in Rs 100 crore. Devgn returns as police officer Bajirao Singham in the sequel with Kareena Kapoor playing the female lead and a supporting cast that includes Amol Gupte, Anupam Kher, Dayanand Shetty and Mahesh Manjrekar.
