Successful Completion of the 3rd National Yogasana Sports Coach Training Program (2024-25) at NS NIS Patiala, Punjab

Patiala – The prestigious 3rd National Yogasana Sports Coach Training Program (2024-25) concluded successfully today at the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NS NIS), Patiala, Punjab, renowned as the “Mecca of Indian Sports.” The program, held from 17th January to 23rd January 2025, was a resounding success, empowering approximately 150 trainee coaches from various states and union territories of India.

The Closing Ceremony of the training program witnessed the esteemed presence of Dr. Sibananda Mishra, Deputy Director of NS NIS (Academics Section) and DDO-Accounts, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Mishra delivered an inspiring motivational speech, extending his heartfelt congratulations to the trainee coaches. His address left an indelible impact, filling the participants with enthusiasm and determination to further the cause of Yogasana sports.

The event was further graced by Shri Rachit Kaushik, Director of the Education and Training Committee and Hon’ble Treasurer of Yogasana Bharat. Shri Kaushik, along with Dr. C.K. Mishra, Chief Coach of Yogasana Sports at NS NIS, presented a memento to Dr. Sibananda Mishra as a token of respect and gratitude.

Several dignitaries were present at the ceremony, including:
– Shri Rohit Kaushik, Member of the Executive Council of Yogasana Bharat.
– Ms. Mariam, an International Coach of Yogasana Sports.
– Dr. Akalkala, President of Punjab Yogasana Sports Association.
– Shri Vipandeep Thapar, Secretary of Punjab Yogasana Sports Association.
– Shri Baneet Sharma, Yogasana Sports Expert and Faculty member at NS NIS.

Under the guidance and blessings of Yogacharya Dr. Jaideep Arya, Hon’ble Secretary General of World Yogasana and Yogasana Bharat, this training program was meticulously planned and executed to perfection. It provided intensive training and valuable insights into Yogasana Sports, aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of the coaches to nurture future athletes.

The program has once again reaffirmed the commitment of Yogasana Bharat to developing skilled coaches who will promote the traditional discipline of Yogasana as a competitive sport. The success of the program highlights the collective efforts of the Education and Training Committee, the NS NIS faculty, and the enthusiastic participation of trainee coaches.
