Ranchi, Jharkhand | September | Saturday | 05, 2015 :: The most special day for teachers in the whole year, the birth anniversary of former President and the great educationist respected Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan also celebrated as Teacher’s Day was celebrated with enthusiastic fervour in Delhi Public School Ranchi. The programme started with paying homage to Dr. Radhakrishnan and the lighting of the lamp. Paying floral tribute to the great educationist, Principal Dr. Ram Singh hoped that the same gesture of imparting selfless service and knowledge shall be there is each and every teacher of the school.
The Teacher’s Day became all the more special for Delhi Public School Ranchi as the Principal of the school Dr. Ram Singh has been conferred with the ‘CBSE Teachers’ award for 2014 by the CBSE. He received this honour from Ms. Smriti Irani, Minister of Human Resource Development on September 3, 2015 in Delhi.
On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, some teachers were also awarded for their extraordinary contribution in educating children. Dr. Ram Singh encouraged the teachers to continue to do good work and keep their noble profession above everything else.
The programme was studded with cultural programme comprising of beautiful songs and colourful dances by the teaching staff.
