TEDxKanke – Completing One Year of Breaking Barriers

Ranchi, Jharkhand  | February  | 24, 2021 :: TEDx Kanke, an independent TED event celebrated its one year of “Breaking Barriers”, with people across the globe on online platforms by inviting all the great ideators and innovators from different countries. Breaking Barriers that started last year on February 23rd, with a vision to inculcate TED’s objective, “ideas worth spreading” marked its one-year anniversary today by completing more than 25 webinars with around  30 profound speakers even in the era of corona-pandemic.
It was a two-hour session held digitally on the zoom app and streamed live on Facebook to keep it open for all.

With a goal to bring together bright minds, lift talks that are idea-focused by innovators, achievers and creators from the versatile ground, TEDxKanke is the platform that allows people to share their experiences and journey to mark their footprint in PAN India and on a global scale. On this special occasion of having completed its one year of Breaking Barriers that was conducted last year physically at Chanakya BNR Hotel, Ranchi, this lively platform left no stone unturned by initiating its celebration live with people on the online platform with the same spirit and zeal.
It owed a special thanks to each speaker who shared their experience in the one-year journey at TEDxKanke,  applauded the hard work of entire team members who made the event and webinars possible, encouraged the active participation of people from different streams, and expressed hearty gratitude to the media houses and corporates like Tata Steel Ltd, TCS iON, CCL, RanchiMall and Moti Mahal Delux for their cooperation.
TEDxKanke invited people from different backgrounds, countries as well as ages to engage a community who made their contribution to motivate and guide everyone with their powerful speeches and innovative messages. Each speaker showed their eagerness to improve society and make this planet a better place to survive.
Alongside this, in this webinar series, team TEDxKanke also launched their new website (www.tedxkanke.com) shared their next mission.

?Hannah Kern, travellor, blogger, solo-cyclyist from the UK who helps and supports people suffering from drug addiction, sexual abuse, and domestic violence shared how she continued to evolve her journey and shared her ideas to take TEDx to next level. She shared how the event “Breaking Barriers” changed her life and inspired her to do better. She encouraged viewers to continue to adapt even if things don’t go as they wish.
?Dr. Shreeranjan,IAS and  TEDxKanke advisor who also worked in the government sector as a senior-most IAS officer, guided to create a platform with a sense to contribute more to society. Prior to sharing his views,  he congratulated the entire team for a dynamic start and showed a new way to see the pause brought by the pandemic that opened new innovative ideas of materialistic growth in agriculture, the digital world, etc. He explained how connectedness with nature couldn’t be halted even by the pandemic.
?Prof. Raman Jha, VC of Amity University, Ranchi with his thanks-giving note encouraged viewers to remain focused, positive, honest, truthful, confident, and integrated with self that is the essence of life no matter what you face.  He said every one especially students to play their individual key role as individuality helps to fit in a bigger canvas.
?Sunil Barnwal, senior IAS officer of GOJ, and current Joint Secretary at Ministry of Home, GOI shared his views on this anniversary meeting being conducted from Ranchi. He shared his glimpse of the 2020 event and expressed his views on technology that got facilitated due to the thump of coronavirus and eased things for everyone. He also expressed his views to bring the local talents to this platform so local community will be benefitted more.
?Siddharth Kaushal, a senior IPS officer of the Prakasan district of  Andhra Pradesh delivered his reformist approach on how TEDxKanke gives voice to different stories through its timeless ‘Breaking Barrier’ theme. He also shared his memories of last year’s event by enlightening the speaker’s approach as a whole.
?Kanishka Poddar, Co-organizer of TEDxKanke brought a broad view to the upcoming TEDxKanke events. He shared the theme – “The Billion Dreams” for the year 2021 wherein the team aims to harness and unleash the power of dreams.  He announced the first event for the year 2021 by TEDxKanke that is scheduled to be conducted on July 4th, under the title “The Billion Dreams”.
He also announced the arrival of TEDxKankeStudio  event to conduct events in a more flexiable manner in both physical as well as digital ways. The webinar series will also be continued for whole year to create impact all across.

1. Independent TEDxKanke event- 4th July 2021
2. TEDxKankeStudio- At regular inerval physically and virtual
3. TEDxKanke webinar series- Throughout whole year on virtual platform
4. TEDxKanke Circle- Small gathering to build community to discuss on different themes throughout the year on virtual or even physically presence.
Many others like Pravin Rajgadia, Bijendra Sharma, Abhishek, Kanika Malhotra, Shrawan Jajodia also marked their presence by inspiring the audience with their experience. Team members, Yuvraj Ananad, Gaurav Kumar, Shivangi Choudhary, shared their experience of working in this organization with a thankful note.

TED is a non-profit organization devoted to “Ideas Worth Spreading”. It is an annual event that brings together the world’s leading thinkers and doers to share ideas that matter in a discipline like technology, entertainment, design, science, humanities, business, development.

The idea behind TEDxKanke Webinar Series is to bring people together to seek a deeper understanding of ourselves and our changing world, and to inspire ideas and action for a better future for us all from the comfort of our home. The lockdown and social distancing have inspired us to take the vent online and reach out to more and more people, keep them inspired, positive, and be ready for the new world post CoVID19. The goal of the TEDxKanke Webinar is to bring bright minds together to give talks that are idea-focused on a wide range of subjects to foster learning, inspiration, and wonder-and provoke conversations that matter.
