Ranchi, Jharkhand | December | 01,2018 :: The 18th YMCA School Annual Sports 2018 of YMCA Public School Dhurwa, was held on 1st December 2018. The event begins with the welcome speech by Ms. Sushma Rosy Toppo(Vice-Principal) and introduction of chief guest was done by Sourav Murmu, (Assistant Secretary, YMCA Dhurwa Branch).
Mrs. Fulmani Soy, International Hockey Player, Indian Women’s Hockey Team inaugurated the Event by hoisting the School Flag followed by Torch Lighting Ceremony, The Release of Doves and cutting of ceremonial ribbon to declare the Sports meet open. She addressed the student in about the importance of physical fitness and activities and it put efforts in their career as well. She also advised the parents to support their children who are having interest in various sports.
The chief guest took the salute and then oath taking ceremony was held followed by March parts by the participants. Yoga and formation of pyramid, Display of karate and aerobic by the participant won the heart of the viewers.
Student took part in various sports activities like 100mtr race, 200mtr race slow cycle race, Long Jump, throw ball, etc. The students who stood first, second and third were given medals.
Mr. Chonhas Kujur (General Secretary, Ranchi YMCA), Mr. Manoj Bage (Senior Secrertary), Mr. S.K. Giri (Member of Management Committee), Mr. Sourav Murmu (Assistant Secretary), Mr. B. Pandey (Sr. Accountant), Ms. Sushama Toppo (Vice Principal), Mr. Rohan Surin (Member, YMCA Ranchi) were present on the occasion.
