‘Utsav’ – 2015 : A Cultural Extravangaza :: Delhi Public School

‘Utsav – 2015’ – a cultural extravangaza was unfolded by the students of classes IV and V, in the premises of Junior wing, Delhi Public School, Ranchi, Under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Ram Singh.
Chief guest  M.S. Bhatia and guest of honour Rahul Sharma were ushered in by a budding team of students, acting in the persona of journalists. Amidst loud cheer and gaiety, saplings were gifted as a token of love and gratitude by the Principal Dr. Ram Singh. Students were encouraged by his kind words.24-DPS-01A small skit, emphasizing on the cleanliness drive,‘Ek Kadam Swacchta Ki Ore’ was portrayed by the students instilling amidst all – the values of the epithet, “Cleanliness is next to Godliness.” The campaign started by Prime-minister Modi was turned into reality by the portrayal of the children depicting ‘clean mind, ‘clean body’ and ‘clean heart’.
Followed close on heels was a dance-drama – ‘Samanvay’ – reflecting a coordination of seasons enthralled the audience giving the message that every season has its importance and all creatures have to live in harmony with nature.24-DPS-03Distribution of certificates, trophies to the meritorious students lead to the unveiling of ‘DIPS-Time’- the school magazine of the Junior wing. A musical treat ‘Dil Hai Hindustani’- an instrumental rendition savoured by all, filled the ambience with a serene look.
The celebration and festivities ended with an address by the chief guest M.S. Bhatia, who encouraged and blessed the students for their active participation in co-curricular activities as well as academics, rendition of National anthem and a vote of thanks by the Head girl of the Junior wing.
“Learning is a pleasure but doing is the height of enjoyment.”
