XISS, Ranchi : Fresher’s Day Celebration of Information Technology Management, Academic Session 2017-19

Ranchi, Jharkhand | July | 20, 2017 ::  Fresher’s day celebration at Xavier Institute of Social Service for the Information Technology department started with full of joy. The theme for this year fresher’s day was “Cards”. The boys and girls were dressed in colorful attires. The auditorium was filled by the juniors, faculty members, and media persons. The event started around 3:00 pm in the evening. The audience were greeted and welcomed by Miss Aaisha Benazir. Inauguration of the programme was done by lighting the lamp by dignitaries. Inauguration was followed by the welcome speech by some of the dignitaries.
Fr. Pradeep Kerketta SJ the Assistant Director of the institute delivered the welcome speech in which he said the department has got creative thought in decoration and he appreciated it. He later on added that this celebration is offer of acceptance. His speech composed of improving the values in education. He and added later on that I wish you all are able to leave your fingerprints in XISS history.
The event was full of cultural activities. After the welcome speech there was a welcome dance performance by Miss Komal. There were few phenomenal dance performances especially the tribal dance which depicts the culture of the Jharkhand state and the Group dances by both the years. The audience went mellifluous by the melodious song sung by Rehan, Debjyoti and Saakshi. To entertain the audience a game was conducted which was the best part of the evening. Apart from dancing and singing there were some good performances in poem recitation by Miss Farheen and standup comedy by Rehan. The students from 1st year performed a skit on “MASTI KI PAATSHALA” which entertained the audience well.

Other titles were given for Mr. Fresher, Miss Fresher, Best Intro and Mr. Personality.
Finally, the much awaited event of the evening Ramp began. Out of 10 boys and 10 girls selected 5 boys and 5 girls went to the next round. The celebration came to an end with the vote of thanks from Sonal. Later in the night the students were served with sumptuous dinner.
