AGON 2015 :: The Maiden Management Festival of IIM, Ranchi. Ranchi, Jharkhand | October | Saturday | 03, 2015 :: The maiden management festival of IIM Ranchi, AGON 2015 began with a bang today. The second day event witnessed participation from all top B-schools including other IIMs,XLRI, JBIMS,SIBM, etc. The shortlisted teams after the first online round would be competing for the winner title and prizes worth Rs. 10 lakhs at IIM Ranchi’s Suchana Bhawan campus during 3rd – 4th October, 2015. AGON 2015 attracted major sponsors like State Bank of India, Oriental Bank of Commerce and Linc Pens, along with esteemed presenting sponsor TOI, online shopping partner eBay, radio partner 92.7 big FM, style partner Spykar, and Vodafone.

Day 1 of the management extravaganza began with the inaugural function graced by the presence of Rajeev Gupta [ DGM Corporate Relations ] and B.M. Dalgade, Senior Manager from JSW Steel Ltd., Dr. Tanushree Dutta, Chairperson, PGDHRM, Dr. Pradeep Kumar Bala, Dean Academics and other faculty members. The dean academics in his address described,“Agon”, a Greek word which refers to a battle which will help learn to strategize, collaborate and nurture relationships. It gives an opportunity to the best of the minds to learn from each other as well as challenge and stimulate the mind. Chetan Ingleshwar, President, Student Council flagged off the event.AGON 2015 :: The Maiden Management Festival of IIM, Ranchi.The 18 events organised by the 8 clubs took off today which also include Marketing Certification Worksop by CMO factory, an entrepreneurship workshop under the programme “ 1000 Start Ups” initiated by NASSCOM, and finance workshop on Portfolio Management by Sandip Sabharwal. Some of the major flagship events are Plutus(Finance), Marcase(Marketing), Symvolous(Consulting), Bizsim (Operations), Vorstand (HR),Constratum (E-Cell & CSR), Terra Nullis (Literary). The events were backed by major sponsors like ICICI Bank, Polaris, Medha Servo Drives, Tata Interactive Systems, SCNext, Sun Pharma, JSW, Unitus Seed Fund, Crossword. Some of the events also had prestigious partners such asTitan, Cardekho.com, Lakme Salon et al. Some on-the-spot events were also organized where participants could show their creativity and utilize it from a business perspective.

Day 2 has several exciting events in store along with the much awaited rock night by the famous Classic Rock band Hip Pocket.
