District Legal Services Authority East, North East and Shahdara in collaboration with Indian Medical Association, East Delhi Branch organised a Blood Donation Camp

Delhi | April | 08, 2018 :: District Legal Services Authority East, North East and Shahdara in collaboration with Indian Medical Association, East Delhi Branch organised a Blood Donation Camp at Karkardooma Courts, Delhi on 07.04.2018. This camp was organised to celebrate ‘World Health Day’.

In the camp, judges, advocates, public prosecutors and court staff participated enthusiastically to make it successful and more than 100 such participants volunteered to donate their blood. 

During the camp, District & Sessions Judge (East) Sh. Rakesh Tewari emphasised upon the importance of blood donations and called upon the society to discard myths related to this noble cause. All the three judges/secretaries, DLSA East, North East and Shahdara ( Sh. Pawan Kumar, Arvind Bansal and Akash Jain) themselves donated blood and said that we all must work to make basic health services to all. Dr. Neelam Lekhi, Dr. Ajay Lekhi, Dr. Alok and Dr. Natasha with their team made the blood donation comfortable for the participants. DLSA and Indian Medical Association also released a poster on blood donation to make public aware about the fact that one donation can save three lives. Everyone appreciated the programme.
