Former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to receive Anuvrat Award

New Delhi | May | 25, 2022 :: Anuvrat Vishva Bharati Society, also known as Anuvibha, has announced that prestigious Anuvrat Award will be presented to the Former Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh for his exemplary life dedicated to humanity. Declaring this, president of Anuvibha, Sanchay Jain said that simple lifestyle, humility, righteousness, humanity and political ethics are the virtues this nation and the world at large need desperately in this time of strife. The award carries a citation, memento, shawl and a cheque of Rs. 1.51 lacs. This is the 27th award being presented since its inception.
The Anuvrat Movement was launched in 1949 by HH Acharya Tulsi for moral upliftment of the society. Since last 7 decades this movement has touched and transformed the lives of millions. Presently, HH Acharya Shri Mahashraman is the spiritual head of the Anuvrat Movement. Distinguished persons like Guljarilal Nanda, Dr Atmaram, Shri Jainendra Kumar, Shri Shivaji Bhave, Shri Lalkrishna Advani, Shri Shivraj Patil, Shri T N Sheshan, Shri Prakash Amte are some names who have been conferred with this award earlier.
Anuvibha is a global organization affiliated to the Civil Society Unit of the UN Department of Global Communication having around 200 chapters in India and a large network of peace lovers throughout the world. Anuvrat is a philosophy based on the values of abstinence. It believes in nonviolence, religious harmony, human equality, morality, non addiction and conservation of environment. Through its various programmes Anuvrat Movement propagates brotherhood and ethical practices in society.
The award will be presented to Dr. Manmohan Singh onThursday 26th May in a Simple Function at his reisdence.
