In this e-Symposium Payalh Agarwwal, Founder of ChaiOm, Zelena Tranquilitea, Disha Singh, Founder of Zouk, Japna Rishi Kaushik, Co-Founder of Hungry Foal shared their journey as a women entrepreneur. They spoke about the challenges faced by them in their entrepreneurship journey and how they tackled those and succeeded in their ventures.

The journey begins with determination, will and vision. There are roadblocks. But they enjoyed their struggles. They had self-belief and have achieved what they have desired for their start-ups. Three advices which they give which they had learnt with their experience is

1. Have a very strong support system. Be it professors, family, friends.
2. One should also ask for help. They should keep their ego aside and ask for help because it provides a new perspective and we have limited time and resources.
3. Have a mentor where you can discuss about your professional life. It is very important for first time entrepreneurs. No matter how old you grow, always have a mentor where you rely upon.
To sum it up all the speakers agreed that there are no field where women cannot endeavour into. There are people who will put you down and there are support system who will be there for you and guide you. All the 3 entrepreneurs started from the scratch. They faced many rejections in in the initial stages of business. But they strived harder and now they are successful businesswomen from budding entrepreneurs. The mantra to keep going is “No matter what, if you want to get things done, get it done”.

Honourable Director Dr. Shailendra Singh graced the occasion. He provided an introduction to the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Centre for Leadership, Policy, and Governance(ABVCLPG), IIM Ranchi. He discussed about the tie-ups the Centre has made for developing entrepreneurship leadership and governance activities. He congratulated each of the speakers for their ventures and wished them success for future endeavours. Dr. Aditya Shankar Mishra, Co-Chair of the Centre presented welcome speech and extended vote of thanks. Dr. Angshuman Hazarika coordinated the event. Participants across India attended the e-Symposium. The e-Symposium will be available on all social media platforms. It was an interactive session and Questions & Answers took place after the event.
