In the current perspective of digital age and technological developments, data-driven decision making has become a key ingredient to success in the organizations. In this context, IIM Ranchi is involved in delivering executive education in Business Analytics through Management Development Programs (MDP) in Business Analytics, Executive Program in Business Analytics & Business Intelligence (EPBABI) and Certificate Program in Business Analytics & Business Intelligence (CPBABI) and is going to start two-year MBA in Business Analytics from the next academic year, i.e., June-2021.
MBA-Business Analytics is a two-year full-time residential program that will help students to acquire in-depth and practical knowledge of analytics and its application in practice. After the completion of the programme, the students would have imbibed the skills to understand data and extract insight from the data to provide viable solutions to business problems.
The program has been designed to provide in-depth knowledge and expertise in various analytics tools and techniques relevant to the needs of modern-day organizations. The curriculum of the programme comprehensively covers data science, statistical modelling, data mining techniques, big data, visualisation, machine learning, analytics with unstructured data, natural language processing and social media analytics. The program will include with hands-on experience in R, Python, SPSS Modeller, visualization tools, like COGNOS and relevant technologies like Gephi, Node X1,Pajek,Mongo DB and others. The program help prepare the students for solving day-to-day practical issues of industries across all domains and verticals by enhancing the analytical problem-solving skills of students through a comprehensively structured course, inclusive of case studies and real-time analytics related problems. The program lays special emphasis on training students on analytical models and model development techniques required to solve real-life business problems.
