Today 14th November is the World Diabetes Day.
The incidence of diabetes is going high. 50 yrs back only 5 percent people above 60 yrs were having diabetes whereas nowadays 35 percent of people below 60 yrs are having diabetes duo to our fast changing modern lifestyle.
Currenty dietary habit is 80 percent responsible for our current lifestyle apart from physical activity and stress.
So we should aware and acknowledge the society regarding healthy diet.
Diabetics should take carbohydrate restricted diet. The rough idea is that cereals(rice , wheat and other cereals ) contain 80 percent carbohydrates, pulses contain 40 percent carbohydrates, green vegetables contain 5 percent carbohydrates, milk contains 5 percent carbohydrates and animal foods contain O percent carbohydrates ( sugar free diet) .
So diabetics are requested to please take care of your diet from good morning to good night. Live healthy, live younger and live longer.
