Ranchi, Jharkhand | January 26, 2022 :: At its permanent campus, IIM Ranchi commemorated the 73rd Republic Day to mark the day on which our constitution came into effect in 1950 when our country truly became democratic. The National Flag was hoisted by Prof. Shailendra Singh, Director, IIM Ranchi, at the permanent campus whereas Prof. Nitin Singh, SAC, IIM Ranchi hoisted the National Flag at Khelgaon -Hostel, followed by the National Anthem Prof. Shailendra Singh spoke to the teachers, students, and staff present at the occasion to commemorate this spectacular day. Prof. Shailendra Singh spoke about the sacrifices of our freedom fighters due to which we can live in free India. The Constitution’s Founding Fathers’ foresight and creative leadership have bequeathed upon the country an amazing Constitution that has served as a light for the country for the past seven decades. He further added that the country owes its democratic system’s success in large part to the Constitution of India’s strong architecture and institutional framework. He went on to say that we must remember how dedicated our soldiers are to the preservation and security of our motherland, as a consequence of which we may live in a free India. Our magnificent culture and legacy of courageous thoughts teach us how to be faithful to our duties. He encouraged the IIM fraternity to be committed and true in their commitments and responsibilities to the institution and the nation. As we moved to the end, he recalled the fundamental duties to the faculty and students at IIM Ranchi as a symbol of patriotism, Prof. Shailendra Singh mentioned that It is an act that demonstrates your commitment to safeguard and serve the interests of all fellow citizens, as well as your pride in being a citizen of this country. On the closing note, he administered the constitutional pledge and stated that one should always be proud to be an Indian. The celebration came to a close with feelings of patriotic brotherhood and love for the country in our hearts, infusing every heart with energy and a desire to do something for the country.
