Rtn. Sangeeta Sharan Past President of Rotary Ranchi South explained these students about the Rotract Club that Rotaract is an organization of young adults (between the age of 18 and 30) of different professional and educational backgrounds that is defined neither by religious nor political motives. The word Rotaract stands for Rotary and Action. Clubs around the world also take part in international service projects, in a global effort to bring peace and international understanding to the world. The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service. Rotaract is one of the largest youth organizations in the world with around 175000 members in about 7500 clubs in 156 countries of the world.
A rotaract club was formed among these students and the name of this club was decided as “Rotaract Club of Dhurwa”.
Club’s President Rtn V.K. Srivastava, members Rtn W.H.C. David, Rtn S.K. Giri, Rtn Susmita Das, Rtn P.S. Gosh and Rtn Kunaal Sharma was present at this occasion.
