Salman Khan keeping track of Bodyguard from US after operation

Actor Salman Khan is keeping track of box office reports of his latest film Bodyguard even from his hospital bed in the US, says actor-politician Raj Babbar who plays Kareena Kapoor’s father in the film.

“Salman is keeping a track of the enthusiastic response his film is getting in the country. He is continuously updated with his fans’ growing response to the film although he is recuperating in the US,” Babbar, who was in the national capital for a screening of the film, said.

He is very happy with the response and is expected to be back in India in few weeks, the Congress MP added.

Salman, 45, who was suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia, a nerve disorder that causes intense pain in the face, had left for the US on August 29 for the surgery, which was successfully conducted on Wednesday.

“I enquired about his health from his bodyguard Shera recently and he is doing fine now,” Babbar said.

Babbar said Bodyguard, released on Eid, has received a huge response in the country and Salman and other co-actors are happy about it.

“Salman’s movies are films for the masses. He plays his role for the people and they have taken his latest film with the same aplomb,” Babbar said on the sidelines of the film’s screening here.
