13 September 2014 :: SanDisk is one of the first companies to introduce new technologies in the market. The company has announced 512GB Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-I SD memory card for DSLR, advanced digital or HD video cameras, which is the world’s highest capacity SDXC card till date. The card is of the size of a postage stamp. The new card is aimed at film-makers shooting in the high-quality 4K format.
The 4K format – which is four times the resolution of HD – requires large file storage. Depending on compression, a single minute of 4K shooting will typically take around 5GB of storage space.
