SARS-CoV-2 Omicron BF.7 variant :: Symptoms

SARS-CoV-2 Omicron BF.7 is a subvariant of the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant.

It is responsible for the late-2022 wave of COVID-19 in China.

Before China, this variant has been making rounds in USA and Europe since August 2022.

In China, it was firstly reported in Yantai and Shaoguan districts of China in late September 2022.

Early studies have indicated that it is highly infectious and spreads faster than other variants.

Symptoms

There are five symptoms of the variant:

congestion,

sore throat,

cough,

fatigue and

runny nose

are the most reported and common symptoms.
