Two day Seminar cum workshop on “Research Methodology” in Manav Rachna Dental College, Faridabad Faridabad, 14 February 2015 ::  A Comprehensive post – graduate training on Research methodology and fundamentals of bio –statics was organized by the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology & Department of Public Health Dentistry. The seminar was attended by clinicians, researchers and students from various medical colleges of Delhi / NCR. The aim of the workshop was to enhance science and bridge the gap between the theory and practice, focus on problem based learning, scientific evidence as the foundation of clinical learning were
some of the arenas which were discussed.

Gen (R) Dr P N Awasthi [ Advisor – MRDC ], Dr Vishal Dang, Dr Arundeep Singh [ Principal MRDC ]
Prof.(Dr) L. Nagesh (IDS, Bareilly) recipient of Indira Gandhi Sadhbhavna Award, who also has various national and international journals to his credit along with Dr RM Pandey (Professor & Head , Deptt of Biostatistics , AIIMS) , Dr Girdhar J. Gyani (Director General, Association of Health Care Providers, India), Dr Arpit Gupta (Department of Public Health Dentistry , AIIMS ) were the keynote speakers.Expert Lectures on Introduction to Health research, Research Designs, Fundamental of Biostatics, quality assurance in medicine, sample size determination, tests of significance, normal curve and standard normal curve, troubleshooting in health research, requisites for undertaking research were delivered by the speakers.
Addressing the august gathering, Dr N C Wadhwa, Vice – Chancellor, Manav Rachna International University said “Dentistry has come a long way especially in the last two years. Today it’s an amalgamation of the various discipline of dentistry along with Nanotechnology, engineering which also is the need of the hour.”Manav Rachna Dental College has been organizing seminars and conferences to boost and encourage research. Continuing Trends in Dental education, Seminar on ‘Ebola Virus: A Global Challenge, Anti – tobacco symposium, are some of the events held in the recent past to foster research and development.
