Ranchi, Jharkhand | March | 06, 2023 :: A special lecture was organized at Central University Jharkhand on Monday (06/03/23) under the program “G20 University Connect”.
The main objective of the program was “Engaging Young Minds”, that is, this program was specially organized for the youth. R-IS under Ministry of External Affairs (Research and Information System of Developing Countries), New Delhi, Sponsored by the program “G20 University Connect” Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Organized under the leadership and guidance of Kshiti Bhushan Das.
Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Welcoming all the visitors, Kshiti Bhushan Das ji tried to explain in detail why the G20 was created, terming the Indian presidency of the G20 as a huge opportunity.
Mr. Das in his address emphasized that G20 is a forum of developing and developed countries where global problems are discussed deeply.
After the Kovid era, the solution to the problems like starvation and economic crisis that have flourished all over the world moves forward in the direction of policy-making by thinking on this platform.
In view of India’s presidency of G20, a special lecture was organized on the subject of India’s aspirations, global challenges and vast opportunities. Indian Ambassador Dr. Rajan Sudesh Ratna, nominated by R-I-S, New Delhi, addressed the audience in this program.
In his speech, he mainly tried to tell that G20 is such a platform through which India can decide policy not only for developing countries but also for developed countries. Underlining the opportunity before the Indian presidency, he discussed the programs like Y20, C20, B20 etc. to be held in this episode and explained in detail about the benefits of it.
At the end of the lecture, Dr. Ratna answered the questions of about 20 students and teachers and many regional problems are also being discussed in Indian policy.
At the end of the program, the registrar of the university, Mr. Ale. Harikumar thanked all the people.
On this occasion, students and students participating in the writing competition, poster making competition, and young scholars panel discussion under University Connect were also awarded.
The program started with the welcome speech by Alok Kumar Gupta, Dean, School of Humanities and Social Sciences. Welcoming all the speakers and listeners, he described India’s presidency of the G20 as a golden opportunity which India has got at a time when the whole world is going through a challenging phase.
In this, he described the Russia-Ukraine war as the biggest challenge and all other problems in the world as its result.
He also mentioned the address of the Honorable Prime Minister that this G20 is “People’s G20” and till now it has been proved that Modi ji made it true.
In the program, on behalf of the university, Prof. of Energy Engineering Department. S.K. Samdarshi expressed his views on the challenge of energy security before India and appreciated India’s progress in the field of renewable energy.
Dr. Anurag Linda, Associate Professor, Department of Environment, gave his views on the efforts and policy interventions made in the field of Sustainable Development of India.
All the senior teachers and students of the university were present in the programme.
