IIM Ranchi Inaugurates Executive Development Programme for Lady Officers of NABARD

IIM Ranchi proudly inaugurated the Executive Development Programme on Women Leadership, an initiative designed to empower and enhance the leadership capabilities of Lady Officers from NABARD. This three-day programme focuses on equipping participants with essential skills in decision-making, team-building, addressing gender equality, and developing emotional intelligence.

 

The event began with the lighting of the lamp, symbolizing knowledge, wisdom, and discipline. Prof. Tanushree Dutta, Programme Director & Dean of Academics at IIM Ranchi, welcomed the participants and emphasized that learning is a mutual and continuous journey. She expressed enthusiasm for the course of interactive sessions and extended her gratitude to NABARD for their relentless support in fostering leadership development. Prof. Amit Sachan, Dean of Executive Education and Consultancy at IIM Ranchi, highlighted the diverse range of topics to be covered, including work-life balance, legal rights, emotional intelligence, and strategic decision-making. He underscored the importance of such training in preparing women officers for high-responsibility roles.

 

The inaugural session also featured insights from Smt. Amita Tripathi and Shri Pankaj Tripathi, Faculty Members at the National Bank Staff College (NBSC) Lucknow, who stressed the significance of women-led development, workplace diversity, and industry collaboration. With 27 participants representing 19 states, the programme brings together a dynamic group of professionals eager to enhance their leadership acumen. Dr. Surendra Babu, Vice Principal of NBSC Lucknow, reflected on his journey from a District Development Manager in Ranchi, emphasizing the need for continuous skill enhancement and deliberate leadership.

 

Shri S.K. Jahagirdar, Chief General Manager of NABARD, Jharkhand, acknowledged the remarkable achievements of the attendees, commending them for overcoming adversity, excelling in their roles, and making a lasting impact in their offices and states. He emphasized the importance of adaptability, resilience, and embracing uncertainty in leadership. He concluded with an inspiring message, encouraging participants to aspire to top leadership positions and contribute to shaping a brighter future.

 

The participants will learn non-verbal communication, leadership, strategic planning and decision making, AI for business leaders, self-awareness and self-motivation, stakeholder management and emotional intelligence.  This initiative reaffirms IIM Ranchi’s commitment to advancing executive education, fostering gender-inclusive leadership, and enabling women officers to take on high-impact roles in the industry.
