Indian Cricket team for the Physically Challenged has departed to Kathmandu, Nepal to play a bilateral series of three international T-20 matches of Lifebuoy Cup 2022 sponsored by Unilever, from CSD Sahara Cricket Ground, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow on 7th June 2022 at 4:00 PM.
Departure Ceremony was organized by the Divyang Cricket Control Board of India before departure, in which cadets of NCC Battalion 64 of Lucknow University gave a beautiful performance. The event was inaugurated by the chief guest, former cabinet minister Swati Singh, social worker Sudhir Halwasia, COO Sahara Cricket Academy Faisal Alvi, DCCBI General Secretary Haroon Rasheed, CEO Ghazal Khan, Patron Mohit Bajaj, Head of Cricket Operations Nafees Siddiqui, Chairman Mukesh Kanchan etc. by lightning the lamp.
After that, the national anthem of India Jana Gana Mana was played by the band. After the guests were honored, all the guests flagged off the Indian team. NCC cadets started the rally with the band as soon as the guests flagged off. In the rally, behind the NCC cadets, the captain of the Indian cricket team, Sayed Shah Aziz, took the Indian tricolor in his hand, behind him Abbas Ali, the coach of the Indian disabled cricket team, team manager Nafees Siddiqui and assistant coach Muveen Khan, and behind him came all the players of Indian Cricket team for the Physically Challenged from all over India took part in the rally.
After the rally the jersey of Indian Divyang cricket team was unveiled by all the guests. All the guests encouraged all the players of the Indian Divyang cricket team.
